Proper sampling: the basis for precise analytical results

Sampling - reliable statements about the quality, properties or composition

We not only offer you comprehensive analyses, but also the service of sampling in various media (gaseous, liquid, solid). This is because many authorities and disposal companies in the waste or water sector require accredited sampling in addition to analysis by an independent laboratory. We take individual, mixed or (qualified) random samples and ensure the appropriate pre-treatment, such as preservation using acids and/or cooling of the samples taken to the laboratory. Of course, we also carry out documentation in the form of protocols and photos, as well as on-site measurements. In addition, we support you with one-off or periodic sampling and are also happy to take over the planning for you.

Sampling of Waste and Solids (according to LAGA PN98)

Sampling can serve various purposes. For instance, before construction projects, samples from several excavations may be required to plan the disposal of excavated soil.

If you're acquiring land, our trained staff can sample the relevant areas for site-specific evaluations of contaminated land or harmful soil changes (e.g., suspected contamination sites).

For waste disposal or recycling purposes, we can sample various types of waste, including:

  • Soil

  • Recycling materials

  • Waste wood

  • Waste

  • Filter dust

  • Residual and valuable materials

Sampling of Refractory Material

For inspections and quality checks, incoming controls of refractory material and ceramic raw materials are essential to ensure compliance with the property characteristics of a delivery. Proper selection of the sampling site and strategy is crucial. We sample your refractory materials and raw materials during loading and unloading of flowing materials, as well as from packaging, transport, and storage units, following applicable standards:

  • DIN 51061

  • DIN EN ISO 1927-2

Sampling of Alloys

Before alloys are used, it's vital to conduct quality controls. You can rely on our skilled and knowledgeable staff to ensure proper sampling and timely quality checks. We sample your alloys both from bulk heaps and big bags, according to established standards:

  • ISO 4552-1

  • ISO 4552-2

Sampling According to the Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV)

We employ qualified samplers certified according to the TrinkwV, who are fully integrated into our lab’s quality management system and work with us full-time. Sampling follows the specifications of DIN EN ISO 19458.

We also offer to plan your necessary sampling schedule, ensuring compliance with the legally required testing intervals and keeping track of your recurring deadlines.

Sampling According to the 42nd BImSchV

Sampling is carried out by qualified personnel, who hold certificates in compliance with the TrinkwV and VDI 2047. Our samplers are fully integrated into our quality management system and employed full-time. Sampling follows the recommendations of the Federal Environment Agency (UBA), based on DIN EN ISO 19458.

We also handle the planning of required sampling, ensuring adherence to legally mandated testing intervals and notifying responsible parties.

Workplace Measurements

Protecting Employees

Any occupational activity involving hazardous substances can pose a health risk to employees. According to the Hazardous Substances Ordinance, employers are required to protect workers from health risks when handling these substances.

To identify and assess these risks, it’s often necessary to determine the concentration of hazardous substances released into the workplace air. Our trained staff has extensive expertise in conducting such measurements, analyzing samples with modern technology, and providing clear, reliable assessments. Depending on the inquiry, we use recognized sampling systems and media. A modern lab setup and experienced, qualified personnel guarantee a broad range of investigative services.

Assessment of Hazardous Substances at the Workplace

Following workplace measurements, we conduct a final evaluation of the hazardous substances, upon request, in line with the Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (TRGS), specifically TRGS 402 and others. We are happy to offer advice in advance.
