Successful NADCAP Certification for Horn & Co. Analytics GmbH at the Siegen, Wenden-Hünsborn and Witten Locations

We are excited to announce that Horn & Co. Analytics GmbH has successfully obtained NADCAP certification in Materials Testing Laboratories at our Siegen, Wenden-Hünsborn and Witten locations. This accreditation confirms our expertise and commitment to the highest quality standards in the aerospace and defense industries.

Which chemical analyses are certified?

As part of our NADCAP certification, we are now certified to offer the following chemical analyses:

1. (F) Atomic or Optical Emission Spectroscopy (AES or OES)
   This technique allows us to measure the concentration of various elements in alloys by analyzing the light emission from ionized atoms. It is especially suited for the analysis of metallic materials, particularly iron-based alloys (Fe-base).
    
2. (F2) Atomic Emission Spectroscopy – Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES/AES)
   This advanced elemental analysis method uses plasma to heat samples to temperatures high enough to produce emissions from atoms or ions. It is highly sensitive and particularly useful for analyzing iron-based alloys.
    
3. (F3) Atomic Emission Spectroscopy – Spark (S-OES)
   Using spark excitation, samples are analyzed for their chemical composition, especially in metal alloys.
    
4. (G) Elemental Analysis (Combustion or Fusion)
   These methods determine the content of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen in materials.

   • (G2) Hydrogen

   • (G4) Oxygen
   • (G5) Sulfur
      
5. (S) X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
   With X-ray technology, we can precisely determine the chemical composition of materials, which is crucial for alloy analysis.
