ENVIRONMENTAL & WASTE MANAGEMENT ANALYTICS IN THE AREA
Wastewater
The term "wastewater" encompasses various types of water that are discharged through drainage systems. Wastewater is typically categorized into stormwater, sewage, and extraneous water. After being collected in the sewage system, it is cleaned at wastewater treatment plants and then returned to the natural water cycle.
In industrial and commercial settings, some companies operate their own wastewater treatment plants. They either discharge treated wastewater directly into a water body (direct dischargers) or channel it into the sewer system (indirect dischargers). Companies that are direct dischargers require a permit from the authorities, and the wastewater must meet chemical and biological standards as outlined in the Wastewater Ordinance (AbwV).
When it comes to obtaining discharge permits as a direct or indirect discharger, "wastewater producers" are often left to navigate the process on their own.
Therefore, it is important to consult with the appropriate authorities beforehand to understand the specific requirements for your wastewater discharge. We can assist you in contacting the relevant authorities.
Provide us with the parameter and limit value list from your local water authority, and we will handle the sampling, analysis, and ensure your wastewater complies with regulatory requirements.
Large fires are often extinguished with water, which may be mixed with firefighting foam at the site or become contaminated with the materials being extinguished. As a result, the water must be contained at the scene.
Due to the potential presence of environmentally or water-hazardous substances, firefighting water must be analyzed before it can be discharged into bodies of water.
