Precision, flexibility and speed in the area of analytical problem solving
For obtaining a homogeneous, i.e. representative sample for analysis, larger sample quantities are usually taken than are actually required for analysis. However, this ensures that the laboratory results fully reflect a bulk material or a material delivery. Sample preparation of the sampled material quantities is therefore essential to produce a laboratory sample. The representative sample taken is prepared using various methods. Particular attention is paid to the highest European quality standards. Depending on the required analysis parameters, various mechanical preparation methods are used. Coarse crushing is carried out using jaw crushers, disc swing mills, or shredders, depending on the type of material. This is followed by fine crushing or grinding of the sample to obtain a homogeneous analysis sample for a representative analysis result.
To create a representative analysis sample, it may be necessary to prepare particularly large sample quantities in the case of inhomogeneous materials. With a pilot plant, samples can be prepared semi-automatically on a ton scale and a wide variety of fractions can be produced from a total quantity (by crushing, sieving, dividing).
The typical sample preparation of the collected or delivered sample materials is carried out using appropriate crushers and mills, so that a laboratory sample is available for analysis in the required fineness.
With our technical equipment, we can prepare even the hardest ferroalloys such as FeW, FeMo, and FeCr suraffiné and FeCr affiné without any problems in accordance with standards or even according to special specifications such as IMOA (International Molybdenum Association) with significantly increased effort.
Furthermore, the samples are specially treated for various analysis requirements and physical analyses are carried out:
Moisture determinations
Sieve analyses
Bulk densities
Shake eluates
Column eluates
For large sample quantities or inhomogeneous materials that are prepared for trace analysis, the pilot plant can be used with several tons of sample material, e.g., for ore and rock samples.
Your advantages when combining our large jaw crusher with sieve analysis:
Increased efficiency (production of large sample quantities for test series)
Increased reproducibility of analysis results
Enables thorough characterization of materials.
Cost savings through one-time preparation of materials instead of several smaller preparation steps.
Do you have rocks, recycled material, or other material samples that you want to have crushed into smaller grain sizes? But the batch is too small for your own processing plant?
With our crusher line, we can produce customer-specific grain sizes, which you then get back for further processing. We take care of the efficient crushing of small quantities of material and produce the individual grain sizes you specify for your samples. Even for small tonnages.
Crushing using a large jaw crusher
Fractionation
Screening
Packaging and shipping
We prepare a wide variety of sample types for you:
Ferroalloys, alloy slags
Carburizing materials, fuels
Additives such as FeSi and SiC cement-bonded briquettes
Battery scrap, electrical scrap, and alloy scrap
Minerals, refractory materials
Soil, construction waste, asphalt, and recycled materials
